Martin is a Mining Engineer by trade with close to 40 years in the industry. Martin started his career with Anglo American Corporation in the deep level gold mines in South Africa, after completing a BSc Honours Degree on a Scholarship at Leeds University in the UK.

Since that early gold experience, Martin has occupied a number of senior leadership roles in a broad range of operational and corporate positions, across a diversified portfolio of commodities, with international coal trade and developments being a key component of that journey.

Working around the globe, in Africa, Asia, Australia, South America and most recently in North America after joining Westmoreland Mining Holdings LLC, Martin has served in a number of listed and private sector resource companies, in both Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer roles. He has also been the lead manager for an international Private Equity Group, fronted one of the largest mining IPO’s on the Singapore Stock Exchange for Straits Asia Resources and raised substantial funding for growth and development projects from international capital markets.

Martin is a graduate member of the Australian Institute of company directors (GAICD) holds a post graduate diploma in business management and was previously nominated by an independent panel for CNBC Asia’s Business Leaders Awards.

Scott has over 25 years of experience working in the Western US Coal Industry. Scott started his career working in engineering and operational roles with Powder River Coal Company and Rio Tinto. Scott completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mining Engineering at Montana Tech.

Scott joined Westmoreland in 2007 as a Production Superintendent at the Absaloka Mine, Montana where he later became the Production Manager. In 2012 Scott accepted the General Manager role at the Kemmerer Mine, before transitioning to a corporate role as Vice President of Sales and Marketing in 2015. Scott has a background that links strong operational knowledge with corporate requirements and used his skillset to establish valuable relationships with all Westmoreland’s customers and stakeholders. In 2019, Scott was promoted into the role of Chief Commercial Officer.

Scott has served on various regional Mine Association Boards and is the current President of the Rocky Mountain Coal Mining Institute.

Jeremy Cottrell

Jeremy has over 15 years’ experience working in legal roles associated with the natural resources industry. Jeremy started his career at the Legislative Advocacy for the Colorado Trade Association, advancing and safeguarding interests provided by way of State and Federal legislation for client members. Following that, Jeremy worked for the State of Colorado implementing legislation and legally defensible programs to enact legislation passed by the Colorado General Assembly.

After graduating from the University of Kansas, Jeremy moved to Colorado to attend Law School at the University of Denver, focusing on Natural Resources and Corporate Law.

Jeremy has worked in various capacities in his tenure in the natural resources industry, including advisement on real property matters, acquisitions and divestitures, employment conditions, Union relations, collective bargaining agreements, regulatory, legislative and environmental laws.

Jeremy joined Westmoreland as an Associate General Counsel in 2015 and was recently promoted to General Counsel and Corporate Secretary to oversee the Group’s entire legal requirements and responsibilities, in both the US and Canada. In his current role as General Counsel and Company Secretary, Jeremy directly supports the CEO, Executive team, and the Board of Directors in relation to legal, legislative, land and corporate governance matters.

As a Supply Chain Executive with over 20 years’ experience, Dondi has served in key leadership roles across multiple industries. Prior to joining Westmoreland in 2013, Dondi held a variety of Senior Management roles in: Procurement, Manufacturing, Sales and Operations Planning, Logistics, and Six Sigma Programs at leading companies such as Gates Corporation, Honeywell and Wal-Mart. Her tenure at these companies provided a broad background across the Automotive, Aerospace, Distribution and Mining Sectors.

Dondi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management along with an MBA in Production and Operations Management from Colorado State University. She is also Certified in Production and Inventory Management with the Association for Supply Chain Management, and holds multiple Six Sigma Certifications (Blackbelt, Lean Expert and Greenbelt) from her time at Honeywell.

With over 35 years of experience in the coal and energy industries, Todd has built a distinguished career marked by significant contributions and leadership roles.

Westmoreland Coal Company was a major part of Todd’s early career journey. From 1989 to 1993, he started as a Marketing Analyst and then advanced to become the Manager of the Contract Administration Department in Sales.

Between 1994 and 1999, Todd served as a Consultant at Financial Times Energy in Boulder, CO. His work involved market analysis for coal, power, natural gas, and renewables, as well as Clean Air Act analysis and providing litigation and regulatory support, including rail mergers.

In 2000, Todd found his way back (again) to Westmoreland where he held various positions including Vice President of Business Development, Vice President of Sales, President of Westmoreland Coal Sales Co., President of Western SynCoal, LLC, and President of Absaloka Coal, LLC.

From 2010 to 2019, Todd worked at Cloud Peak Energy Inc. in Broomfield, CO, where he held the position of Senior Vice President of Marketing & Business Development.

Since 2020, Todd has been working as an independent consultant, offering expertise in market analysis, M&A advisement, and litigation support.

Todd’s career also includes over 20 years of working with the Crow Tribe in Montana through his roles at Westmoreland and Cloud Peak.

At the start of in his career, Todd gained valuable government experience as a US Senate Intern, Congressional Staff Assistant, and Assistant to the Lancaster County PA Court Administrator.  He also spent time working on the “slime line” at a fish processing plant and on the docks in Homer, Alaska, the summer after graduating college, which caught the attention of some folks at Westmoreland, leading to him being hired into his initial position with the company.

Todd holds a BA in Political Science from Penn State, a Master of International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management (now part of Arizona State University).  Todd recently completed a Master of Legal Studies at the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law.

Chris has a wealth of experience in the mining industry, with a career spanning over 24 years. He started his career with Sherritt Coal (formerly Luscar), where he held various finance, accounting and managerial positions, most notably including his role as Sherritt’s Coal Controller. He joined Westmoreland as the Director of FP&A and Business Operations, responsible for financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic analytical support for all our mines. He was promoted to Sr. Director, FP&A in 2022, where he reported directly to the CFO. Chris holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Alberta and is a certified public accountant.

Mr. Wooley was appointed Chief Operating Officer – U.S. Operations at Westmoreland in July 2025. He joined the company in 2021 as Senior General Manager of the Rosebud Mine and has most recently served as Regional General Manager for Montana and North Dakota.

With over three decades of experience in the mining industry, Mr. Wooley brings deep operational expertise to his role. Prior to joining Westmoreland, he spent 25 years in various leadership positions at Peabody Energy and Rio Tinto, overseeing both surface coal and underground hardrock mining operations.

Mr. Wooley holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Montana Tech. Of his 32 years in mining, 22 have been dedicated to maintenance, underscoring his strong technical foundation and commitment to operational excellence.
