Westmoreland Coal Company (NYSE AMEX:WLB) announced today that its Board of Directors has declared a dividend of $31.13 per depositary share payable on February 25, 2011 to holders of record as of February 14, 2011. Each depositary share represents one-quarter of a share of the Company’s Series A Convertible Exchangeable Preferred Stock. This dividend represents the payment of all accrued and unpaid dividends on the Series A Preferred Stock as of and through January 1, 2011.
